Position Title: Sr. Manager – Fleet Operations
Reports to: Senior Director, Risk Management & Corporate Security
Location: Head Office/Remote (95 Browns Line, Etobicoke)
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Manager – Fleet Operations will report to the Senior Director, Risk & Corporate Security. They will be responsible for Fleet & Garage Management, the National Fleet Program, Fleet Maintenance and Safety.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 10 year of experience in the heavy truck transportation field, with some fleet management experience
- Knowledge of Fleet Safety Management procedures
- Comprehensive knowledge of provincial and Transport Canada regulatory requirements
- Proven experience and knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and truck mechanics
- Customer focused with the proven effective organizational skills to deliver on plans & commitments on time and on budget
- Valid AZ/Class 3 (or equivalent) driver’s license with clean abstract
- Strong leadership/coaching skills with the ability to influence and manage change
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications; Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Major challenges: Decentralized vehicle locations, operational needs support vs. vehicle downtime needs
Decision making authority: lease vs. buy; scrap vs. repair; maintenance schedule updates
Contacts of the position: All levels of the organization, internal and external
Quantitative scope of position (Revenues, Budget, Customers Supported, Projects supported)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
