Description:
OUR OPPORTUNITY:
Chewy is currently sourcing for a Sr. Manager, Human Resources at one of our fulfillment centers. This position is responsible for providing the full scope of HR advice, mentorship, and support across a non-union FC population at this site. This role is responsible for and leads a Fulfillment Center Human Resources department and is the site HR lead.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with FC LT to plan and implement strategies to ensure maximum TM engagement.
- Provide leadership and expertise for Human Resource (HR) functions including all aspects of; professional relations, hourly relations, employee benefits, compensation, employee involvement, practices, training, organizational change, and development and communications.
- Lead team responsible for performance management, employee engagement and talent development.
- Assist management staff in resolution of issues and concerns.
- Assists with training as needed by training team; owns orientation and onboarding.
- Facilitate compensation programs. Implement compensation plans supported by the research of local market data for positions, evaluate job levels to ensure compensation programs remain competitive.
- Coordinate workers compensation program: investigate all injuries, first aid and near misses, and work with plant management to reduce all three.
- Recommend/coordinate discipline when warranted. Assist supervisors/fulfillment center management with disciplinary issues.
- Handle benefits administration.
- Develop/update job descriptions, rules, procedures and policies.
- Establish a culture that is based on Chewy’s Operating Principles
- Participate in facility safety and meetings, including, but not limited to, safety committee meetings and accident investigations.
