About the team you are joining
Global Aviation Data Management (GADM) team is responsible for the development, implementation and support of data solutions needed to monitor safety, operational and capacity KPIs. These includes, without being limited to:
- Managing Safety and Operations Data Sharing Programs
- Supporting OSS lines of business in their data, analytics, reporting and dashboard needs
- Developing a coherent approach to data visualization and analysis
- Ensuring the availability, reliability, and quality of the data and related dashboards through continuous monitoring
- Adhering to data governance policies, quality standards and best practices
What your day would be like
Reporting to the Head of GADM programs, your responsibilities will include ensuring the day-to-day processing of GADM programs data is consistent with the desired quality dimensions as well as development of relevant data visualizations and dashboards for internal and external clients.
- Take the lead in the planning and development of visualization standards for GADM programs and support other organizational departments in developing a coherent approach to data visualization.
- Provide strategic guidance on the GADM programs and commercial products visualization for improved user experience both on usability and performance.
- Ensure the requisite quality operational procedures and processes to improve data utilized in the data sharing programs are fully documented, monitored and implemented.
- Oversee the design and development of back-end and front-end data models for visualization of GADM platforms/programs.
- Lead in the planning, development and enhancement of data visualizations for both voluntary GADM programs and other commercial products offered by GADM such as FuelIS and SafetyIS.
- Continually improve, enhance and innovate new data visualizations to add value to end users and stakeholders.
We would love to hear from you if
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or comparable educational level
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Aviation Operations & Safety (SMS, ATM, Airport, Airline)
- High level proficiency in business intelligence software such as Power BI
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQLData Warehouse Technology
- Strong analytical skills and ability to write technical reports as well as Data Stories (presentations)
- Experience in managing teams
- Experience in data manipulation and in FDA/FOQA is an asset
- Excellent problem solving, analytical skills, report writing skills and the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills in English both oral and written; knowledge of an additional language is an asset
