POSITION OVERVIEW

As a member of the Total Rewards Team, the Senior Manager, Global Benefits COE is responsible for the development and execution of the global benefits strategy in support of our corporate objective to offer competitive retirement, health and welfare, and voluntary benefits, and time away programs. Our benefits programs aim to attract and retain top employee talent, promote employee engagement, and foster employee wellbeing. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders including, but not limited to, Total Rewards, Global Benefits Operations, Benefits Finance, FP&A, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Business Unit Leaders, and other colleagues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or other relevant concentration.
  • 8+ years of experience in the benefits strategy, design and management of U.S. employee benefits.
  • 4+ years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of global benefits trends, regulations, and best practices across regions (APAC, EMEA, Americas).
  • Strong working knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, GDPR, and similar federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Strong project management capabilities with a track record of successfully delivering benefits programs across multiple regions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the UK without sponsorship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in global benefits design or operations
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
  • Certification in benefits or human resources management (e.g., CEBS, GPHR).
  • Working knowledge of Workday HCMS and Benefits Administration module or similar HCMS system.

Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead and manage a team of professionals providing guidance, coaching, and performance management to create a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Build a team culture focused on innovation, excellence, and employee engagement, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.
  • Lead the creation of the global benefits strategy by working closely with global consultants and senior leadership to align benefits offerings with the company’s overall business objectives and talent strategy.
  • Develop a comprehensive approach to benefits, covering health and welfare, retirement, time-off, financial benefits, and voluntary benefits.
  • Analyze internal and external data (e.g., market trends, employee feedback, benchmarking studies) to develop strategic initiatives that ensure competitive, cost-effective, and globally consistent benefits.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Benefits Operations, HR, Finance, Legal) to ensure programs meet local regulatory requirements, incl. tax laws, labor laws and employee rights, and are financially sustainable, as well as operationally feasible.
  • Oversee end-to-end program design in collaboration with benefits consultants, including researching market trends, gathering employee feedback, and implementing innovative solutions that enhance employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Drive the continuous improvement and optimization of existing benefits programs through data analysis and feedback mechanisms.
  • Lead the design change approval process and present design change recommendations to the U.S. Benefits Committee, as needed.
  • Oversee relationships with global and regional benefits vendors and global benefits consultant/ broker, ensuring they deliver high-quality services that align with company needs.
  • Use data and analytics to evaluate program effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend program adjustments or enhancements.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and benchmark against peer organizations to continuously evolve the company’s benefits offerings.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to proactively identify and address any regulatory changes that could impact benefits offerings.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain high level of confidentiality.

  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
  • Ability and means to travel between Exact Sciences locations.
  • Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.
