The Senior Manager – Finance Processes for Leica Biosystems is responsible for aligning the financial ERP system, including master data with our reporting structure and ensuring consistency and compliance with all Accounting and Control practices. You will also play a role in global ad hoc projects as well as implementing automation and process improvements.
You will be a part of the Global Corporate Team and report to the Snr Director Global FP&A and Global Controller responsible for all finance process of the OPCO. If you thrive in a fast paced multifunctional, varied role and want to work to build a world-class Finance organization—read on.

THE ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB INCLUDE:

  • Degree qualified in a Finance discipline.
  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Extensive SAP system knowledge including implementations.
  • Proficient in leading technical programming/software resources and developing talent, to build a high performance team.
  • Track record of success and progression within the Finance function, especially in the areas of financial control, cost management, financial planning and forecasting, system & process improvement.

Travel/Location of Travel, include approximate overnight stays per week.

  • Travel expectations within this role are minimal (<25%).
  • This role/team will be based at Newcastle upon Tyne.

IT WOULD BE A PLUS IF YOU ALSO POSSESS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN:

  • Experienced in working in an international environment.
  • Experience of working in a US company and/or matrix structured business would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

Supporting the corporate team and the rest of the LBS finance community by aligning the use of financial systems in line with our reporting structures:

  • ERP Finance Lead for LBS (SAP/BW), including end user month end finance support.
  • Cost Centre Management including alignment with reporting software (OneStream) and DoA/approval spend process flow.
  • Standardisation of Financial Master Data and lead projects for data reliability, including automation projects - identifying and mitigating manual steps where applicable.
  • Creation of SOP’s, training documentation and supporting financial key users throughout the globe.
  • Ad hoc global projects.
