Responsibilities:

As the Global Product PR Lead, you’ll be the architect of Razer’s Global Product PR success story. You are required to craft strategic communication plans to position our cutting-edge and industry leading products as industry leaders, generating excitement and positive endorsement on a global scale.
You will be spearheading product launches, crafting compelling press releases that resonate with international audiences, and giving direction to regional teams to secure positive coverage in top-tier publications. You will craft strong processes that form the basis of building relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry analysts, ensuring our brand voice is heard loud and clear.
This is a critical leadership role that demands a keen eye for industry trends and the ability to translate them into captivating narratives. You will be required to meticulously analyze media coverage, measure campaign effectiveness, and collaborate across departments to ensure seamless messaging.
You will have the chance to manage overall storytelling and directionally guide a team of regional specialists, fostering a creative and results-oriented environment.

  • Develop and Implement Global PR Strategies: Craft comprehensive PR plans that encompass media relations, media engagement and potential crisis communication strategies.
  • Craft Compelling Content: Write captivating press releases, product messaging, and media kits that resonate with diverse audiences across different regions. Tailor content to specific media outlets and journalist interests, ensuring a strong brand voice is maintained.
  • Media Relationship Management: Formulate strong processes to build and nurture strong relationships with key media contacts – journalists, editors, industry analysts – in target markets. This includes regular communication, hosting press briefings, and offering exclusive insights and product access. While regions drive this, global Product PR should be able to lead this.
  • Product Launch Execution: Oversee all aspects of product launch PR activities, including media tours, press briefings, launch events, and award submissions. Ensure all messaging is clear, consistent, and generates maximum media attention by giving crystal clear briefs to the regions.
  • Be a Product Expert: Ability to understand different product categories and specific product nuances and demystify the technology into strong consumer proposition messaging
  • Measure and Analyze PR Success: Track and analyze media coverage, including reach, sentiment, and social media engagement. Develop reports to measure the effectiveness of PR campaigns and identify areas for improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business units, marketing, product development, sales, and other teams to ensure a cohesive brand message is communicated across all departments and eventually translated into PR briefs.
  • Industry Trendspotting: Stay on top of emerging trends in the tech industry and identify new opportunities to generate product awareness. Leverage industry events, conferences, and social media listening to understand market shifts and audience needs.
  • Global PR Nuance: Develop a deep understanding of cultural nuances and media landscapes across different regions. Tailor PR strategies and messaging to resonate with international audiences while maintaining a consistent brand identity. Pick-up best practices and share across regions.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to product PR specialists in the regions. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment that prioritizes creativity and strategic thinking.
  • Global Calls and coordination: Lead global product PR calls and set clear monthly/quarterly plans to build-in accountability in the delivery.
