QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A “been there done that” set of experiences in building a content marketing engine for a line-of-business audience that has directly contributed to rapid pipeline and bookings growth.
  • 7 or more years of content marketing or related experience, preferably with a few years in a fast-paced SaaS company.
  • Hands-on writing and content creation experience, ideally within a high-growth ecommerce or vertical SaaS business with an enterprise customer base.
  • Strategic content planning experience to create the right content, in the right format, for the right stage of the buyer journey, with a ‘hook’ at each step of the way to drive deeper engagement and conversions.
  • Complex project management experience, including a mix across formal and informal internal content creators and outside contractors.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and consensus-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new business domain knowledge to content strategy and asset creation.
  • Ability to understand, digest, and distill complex concepts for broad consumption via engaging content.
  • Keyword research skills and basic technical SEO knowledge, including experience tagging and linking content for SEO.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

Conexiom has an amazing opportunity for a creative, results-driven Senior Manager, Content Marketing to play a leading role in reaching, educating, and engaging our key personas with content that is so compelling and relevant that they’d be willing to consume it at night or on the weekend.
Owning the overall content strategy, calendar, and operations, they will lead the production of primary and derivative assets across the whole buyer journey to fuel campaign-related needs that includes SEO/digital authority, account-based marketing (ABM), inbound integrated campaigns, sustained nurture programs, and customer upsell/cross-sell. A passion for producing high quality content and the strategic/analytical focus to guide our audience through the buyer journey are both a must.
The ideal candidate will bring a track record of building a highly engaged audience of customer service, inside sales / sales ops, digital transformation, and IT leaders within manufacturers and wholesale distributors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategy: use audience insights, personas, keyword research, messaging themes, campaign plans, competitive information, and content performance analytics, to build a content marketing strategy and editorial calendar, and create related content.
  • Execution: create a steady stream of primary and derivative assets that can be leveraged across various channels and use cases — for example, a research report complemented by an infographic, blog post, video, executive summary, and webinar.
  • Performance optimization: Collect, analyze, and report on content marketing success via standard content marketing KPIs using web analytics tools, marketing automation platforms, social media management tools, content marketing software, and business intelligence platforms to inform and optimize ongoing efforts.
  • Web traffic: contribute to SEO and search engine marketing initiatives with keyword optimization, content tagging, and metadata management.
  • Innovation and AI: Implement, use, and evangelize content marketing best practices, including extensive use of AI and well-placed bets on experiments.
  • Distribution: Collaborate with marketing program owners, content strategists, and/or campaign managers to integrate and repurpose content marketing and campaign content where appropriate.
  • Resourcing: rationalize, find, hire, and manage internal content marketing resources, agencies, consultants, or freelancers, including writers, graphic designers, video and interactive content producers, and SEO professionals as needed.
