Prudential is seeking a Senior Manager, Health Performance at the Group level, to help support the expansion of the Health business, partnering closely with finance and actuarial functions

Role and Responsibilities

  • Partner with Group and LBU Finance teams to collect and prepare health-specific financial data in a timely manner
  • Partner with Group and LBU Finance teams to prepare health-related financial reports and dashboards for Group senior management and other key stakeholders
  • Analyse health-specific Group or LBU financial data to monitor financial performance, identify trends, variances and opportunities for management action
  • Participate in business planning, budgeting and forecasting processes to support the creation and monitoring of health-specific financial goals and objectives
  • Support LBU Activity-Based Costing (ABC) initiatives that will allow for more accurate expense allocations for health-related business. Work with Group Finance and Actuarial to update expense assumptions as required
  • Work with Group Finance and LBUs to review and update new business profitability metrics and methodologies
  • Work independently or together with other stakeholders to prepare health-related business cases
  • Review the existing budget approval process and evaluate requests to release budgeted funds
  • Support the review of health-specific repricing and new product development activities of LBUs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related field
  • 10+ years’ experience in either health experience analysis, pricing, product development, valuation, finance or performance management functions
  • Experience in financial analysis, performance monitoring and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to stakeholders at various level of the organisation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and business units
  • Knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial regulations
  • Innovative and creative, possesses a “can do” mindset
  • Demonstrate ability to lead programs & projects
