~ Bachelor’s degree preferred~ Master’s degree a plus

RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • Eight or more years of experience of which at least three years of directly related experience in strategic HR planning.
  • Working knowledge of core HR functions, processes, administration and compliance.
  • Experience as an HR consultant or HR strategic planning preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Client–focused, business partnering and influencing skills.
  • The ability to work both strategically and operationally.
  • Verbal and written communication skills that effectively relate to all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE

  • Plan and facilitate the HR Strategy planning process for Hyundai Motor North America (HMNA) and its subsidiaries, ensuring that comprehensive strategies are developed, approved, and communicated within HR and to necessary functions.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development of mid-term and long-term regional HR strategies that align with the company’s business objectives.
  • Implement region-wide HR strategies and programs through effective change management, training, and communication.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in understanding all aspects of HR management; work with leaders to promote the effective application of the organizations’ HR strategies.
  • Oversee and manage the global human resources development programs and initiatives for the region.
  • Collect and manage HR data from North American subsidiaries to provide integrated support and manage risks.
  • Develop and monitor metrics to measure key HR strategies and deliverables.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (CONTINUED)

  • Plan and facilitate regional HR conferences, workshops and HR associate town hall meetings.
  • Identify cross functional HR issues and provide leadership in developing and implementing solutions.
  • Manage regional talent mobility and immigration program compliance for in-bound and out-bound international assignments to ensure business continuity and growth in line with business objectives.
  • Lead key HR cross functional projects.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.
