JOB ADVERT SUMMARY
Our company is looking for a skilled Senior Manager: Human Resources to oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices and processes. Some who will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives.
The goal is to promote corporate values and enable business success through human resources management, including but not limited to Recruitment and Selection, Onboarding, HR Information Systems, Record Keeping and Reporting, Employee Relations, Performance and Probation Management, Remuneration & Benefits, Training, Development and Succession Planning and Organisational Development.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or Labour Relations is essential.
- Honours Degree in Human Resources or Labour Relations or an LLB will be advantageous.
- Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in human resources, of which at least five (5) years in a management/leadership capacity.
- Ability to understand and apply knowledge of respective labour legislation: BCEA, LRA, SD 13, EEA, SDA, COIDA, OHSA, POPIA.
- Ability to understand and implement HR and other relevant company policies, procedures and processes.
- Task driven and deadline orientated with excellent planning, organising and time management skills as well as the ability to work on own initiative and initiate actions.
- Demonstrate excellent communications skills in Afrikaans and English (written and oral).
- Ability to manage a diverse workforce and to lead with ethical principles and values that inspire confidence and create trust.
- Excellent literacy and numerical skills with accurate working ability and close attention to detail.
- Apply good analytical skills and sound judgement to make informed business decisions and suggest improvements and solutions with a proactive and problem-solving mind set.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to form professional, positive and collaborative working relationships with personnel at all levels and to act in the best interest of the company.
- Ability to integrate, promote and adhere to ethical principles and core values throughout the company and business practices and to act in the best interest of the company.

- Experience with human resources systems and relevant programmes such as PaySpace and Sqube Clock System will be advantageous
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the company’s compliance to labour legislation and good practices such as BCEA, LRA, SD, EEA, SDA, COIDA, POPIA.
- Ensure all labour-related statutory obligations of the company are fulfilled such as submission of the EE report and plan, ATR and WSP, ROE etc. as well as monitoring compliance with the various legislation and regulations throughout.
- Serve as a representative of the company at the CCMA and with inspectors from the relevant departments in conjunction with the IR/ HR consultant.
- Manage and oversee internal and external audits and analise risk factors to minimise risks.
- Manage the day-to-day HR operations of the company as well as develop and execute the HR strategy aligned with the organization’s overall business strategy and that of the CEO.
- Ensure that the sub departments within HR function optimally, including but not limited to Recruitment and Selection, Onboarding, HR Information Systems, Record Keeping and Reporting, Employee Relations, Performance and Probation Management, Remuneration & Benefits, Training, Development and Succession Planning and Organisational Development activities as well as ensuring team members thrive and organisational outcomes are met.
- Drive Continous Improvement through analysing and identifying development areas and formulating goals, strategies and action plans to improve these areas in alignment with the company’s mission & vision.
- Initiate, manage and oversee operational and strategic projects as well as the implementation and optimization of systems and technology to promote efficiency and control measures.
- Managing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting on deviations within the HR department in conjunction with the finance department, which includes monitoring expenses, identifying areas for cost-saving, and optimizing resource utilization.
- Oversee the completion of the employee budget for headcount and cost using the PaySpace budgeting module, timeously for the company’s quarterly budgeting period.
- Manage and oversee the development of positive and trusted relationships with various key stakeholders including employees.
- Foster a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices throughout the company which is aligned with the company’s vision, mission and core values.
- Lead and manage the HR team, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities by driving Employee Administration, Discipline, Performance Management, Training & Development, Job Specifications etc.
- Perform other ad hoc functions related to the Senior HR Manager position and its EXCO role as requested by the CEO.
- Provide feedback, Compile & present reports regarding HR performance and compliance to keep the management team fully informed in a timely manner and leverage technology for data analysis, reporting and to support decision making.
- Support your reporting to team by developing, implementing and improving standard operating procedures and work instructions for their positions and tasks.
