JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Senior Director, IT Operations, the Senior Manager, Integration, Quality Assurance and Applications develops strategic and operational plans, coordinates and supervises all activities related to the design, development, testing, and deployment of solutions in alignment with the organization’s architectural principles, policies, and guidelines. This individual will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide their development teams on issues related to the design, development, testing and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems for both on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
The management and coordination of Integration, Quality Assurance and Applications activities requires excellent organizational and leadership capabilities as well as established negotiation skills to effectively manage issues that arise during ongoing operations and project delivery. The team works with the business, strategic vendors, and other areas of IT on a daily basis in a strategic and operational capacity. Strong interpersonal skills, effective verbal and written skills, and a high level of expertise in all aspects of information technology is required.
This position will require the incumbent to apply effective planning, project management, and leadership capabilities as they direct and grow the team through the development and maturation of team processes and procedures.

A day in the life:

  • Provide leadership, guidance and direction to members of the Integration, Quality Assurance and Applications team.
  • Drive innovation, implementation, and maintenance of on-premises and cloud-based solutions within this portfolio by developing strategic and operational plans for the IT division, IT Operations branch, and Integration, Quality Assurance and Applications.
  • Collaborate with strategic vendors, business units to define and develop strategies, roadmaps, and operational plans for IT to improve business processes by aligning IT strategy with business and operational goals. Oversee the development of related architectural standards and alignment with enterprise architectural guidelines.
  • Lead the integration of various systems to ensure seamless operation.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance strategy, processes, and policies to leverage modern technology and approaches for a QA automation strategy.
  • Ensure 24/7 support coverage of solutions within the portfolio including on call rotation, succession planning, and cross training.
  • Participate in IT Risk Assessments and ensure alignment with disaster recovery procedures.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 5+ years progressive Leadership/Management experience
  • Ability to effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address business issues.
  • Experience with the identification and successful deployment of new IT technologies and processes in a medium to large IT organization
  • Up to date knowledge of IT best practices in the areas of innovation, implementation, and maintenance of on-premises and cloud based solutions within this portfolio
  • Experience with solution design and analysis
