Role Title: Internal Audit Senior Manager
Location: Cambridge Hybrid (Cambridge office 3 days per week)
Job Level: F
Reports to: VP, Head of Internal Audit
Department: Finance
Job Purpose:
Lead the day-to-day operations of Internal Audit and deliver high quality audit work across the global AVEVA and Software Group business, including ‘hands-on’ performance of audit work.

Key Accountabilities

  • Performing internal audit work
  • Running of day-to-day internal audit operations
  • Management and development of direct reports
  • Detailed reviews of audit work programmes and internal audit reports to a high standard
  • Monitor, review and update the assessment of the control environment, reporting on significant control issues, trends, and developments
  • Leverage information systems to bring efficiency and insight to audit capability
  • Maintain effective working relationships with leadership and Software Group colleagues at all levels
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in internal audit best practices and apply these where relevant.

Measures of Success

  • Achieve an excellent standard of internal audit processes ready for independent quality assurance peer review
  • Develop and ‘ready’ direct reports
  • Positive feedback from internal audit stakeholders

Essential Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Minimum five years of audit experience and three years of line management experience within an internal audit function (with multiple direct reports) in a similar type of organisation
  • Professionally qualified accountant
  • Excellent process quality review and improvement skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Poses the ability, desire, and cultural awareness necessary to travel internationally as required within a global and successful business

Hybrid working
