THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an ambitious plan to improve our technology services that spans functional areas such as people & safety, enterprise asset management, customer experience, fleet & terminal operations and much more.
We are seeking an experienced IT expert with a strategic business mind to join our IT Strategy team. You are not just an IT professional; you are a strategic thinker who provides leadership and expertise steering the planning of IT transformation strategies and initiatives, that align with our organizational objectives.
Working closely with executive leaders and operational stakeholders, you develop technology-enabled program roadmaps that increase efficiency and effectiveness, achieve the desired customer experience outcome, maximize business value and enable business growth. You also collaborate with technology leaders and vendors to identify strategic and innovative uses of technology to drive business growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director, Office of the CIO, you add value by key areas of oversight such as:

  • Developing IT strategies and initiatives in alignment with our corporate strategies
  • Providing IT strategic input into business decisions, taking a structured data-driven approach while building consensus
  • Translating IT strategic objectives into performance metrics and actionable plans
  • Building strategic partnerships across the organization with business sponsors and executive stakeholders, ensuring high value technology solutions
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal/external partners and sponsors to develop and maintain business capability mapping that guide our IT Architectural Roadmap
  • Determining the feasibility of technology projects and initiatives, and lead the preparation of IT project proposals in alignment with corporate priorities
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure the successful execution of technology transformation initiatives that align with business goals and priorities
  • Contributing to IT strategic and solutions/program roadmaps, supporting various project delivery teams to collaborate on the design aspects that meets the needs of users
  • Supporting and mentoring team members in their efforts to implement technology in accordance with the roadmap
  • Conducting market and competitive research to identify broader business trends and assumptions that may affect the IT strategy
