Description:

Your responsibilities

  • Collaborates with solution leads and solution managers to develop commercial strategies to support growth of new product launches, geographic expansion of core portfolio products and optimization of launched products in market
  • Collaborates to develop and execute global launch strategy for the Endoscopy Solutions Ecosystem (ESE) Business with Sales Business Centers (SBCs) / Region input and collaboration (e.g., type of events, potential channels, etc.)
  • Iterate commercialization strategy in close collaboration with solutions, SBCs & Business support creation of commercial response materials & strategies to address rising competitive threats & changing market trends
  • Maintain responsibility for informing internal cross-functional teams, as well as regional partners at all levels on business deliverable/requirements under your scope of responsibility for global commercialization
  • Collect required input from other functions (e.g., value proposition, market intel. insights, GTM model). Refine product value proposition and marketing message working with Regional Product Managers
  • Formulate global commercialization. strategy & timeline incl. overview of promotion activities. Develop and deliver launch packages to regional partners that includes pitch packs, tools, and campaign collateral. Performs analyses on existing programs to determine future opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Global MarCom organization to develop launch package materials for global launch packages in preparation for local customization/tailoring by regions (all materials should be 80% complete at hand-off)
  • Communicate progress on all PDP activities to key stakeholders and collaborate with project lead to develop mitigation plans to address changes in project plans or changing business dynamics.
  • Develop and design messaging and objectives, while providing guidance for global campaigns (e.g., demos, web, e-mail, etc.) to regional counterparts for consistency
  • Develop launch training plan of the Global Launch Playbook and provide requested content to COE/Regional Product managers for training events (internal and external support)
  • Maintain responsibility and drive alignment of commercialization plans, budgets, timelines, risk assessment, progress, and risk mitigation proposals, as necessary. Plan commercialization budget by estimating costs & allocating resources
  • Establish clear and measurable goals for market entry, growth & customer acquisition. Establish global KPIs to track product launch and execution, develop mitigation plans as needed to keep all targets on time/track
  • Create and collate best-practices across all launches and share with regions
  • Develop and manage relationships with thought leaders who will champion Olympus solutions and act as advisors during the commercialization phase
  • Maintain expertise by attending procedures, courses, workshops, tradeshows, and staying abreast of market dynamics, competitive landscape and global industry changes and technological advancements

Your qualification

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree is required in Engineering or Business Management. MBA or M.Sc preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with medical devices, diagnostics, corporate strategy, portfolio strategy/management, upstream marketing or downstream marketing
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in new product marketing or successful new product introductions / launches within medical device field
  • Sales experience of minimum 3 years is preferred, ideally in a matrix setting
  • Regional lead role experience within EMEA or Asian Pacific is preferred, minimum 3 years
  • Having worked directly with sales teams in MedTech is preferred
  • Clinical competency and advanced analytical skills required
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge and experience within endourology medical technology field strongly preferred
  • Experience in successfully developing and launching new products in the medical device industry from concept to commercialization.
  • Experience in designing and executing voice of customer research
  • Self-motivated individual with track record of establishing and executing on goals and successfully leading cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record identifying and developing thought leader relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Domestic and international travel expected to be 25%
