Are you the Strategy and M&A professional we are looking for?
We are looking for a Senior Manager / Manager, Strategy and M&A, to strengthen our corporate strategy and M&A team. The new Strategy and M&A professional will focus on M&A strategy and execution. Especially you will have an important role in the further development and the implementation of our M&A strategy. This will include the assessment of attractive business expansion areas, identification, and analysis of acquisition targets as well as execution of M&A projects from initiation to integration.
In this position you will work in close cooperation with our corporate team, the Heads of Strategy and other senior management of our Business Lines. You will report to the Vice President, Strategy and M&A for the Valmet Group and you will be located at our Head office in Espoo.

To be successful in this position, you need to have:

• Master’s degree (Economics, Engineering) with excellent academic results.
• Minimum of three to five years of relevant experience from M&A, corporate strategy, business strategy or financial investments. Work experience from investment banking, management consulting, private equity or similar corporate role provides a good background for the position.
• Strong, fact based analytical and conceptual capabilities, financial modelling, and strategic analysis competence together with the ability to articulate insights orally and in presentations.
• Structured and result oriented with a high level of personal energy and strong collaboration skills to interact across our global organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Finnish and Swedish language skills are a plus.
