Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Project management for Model Evaluation projects for third party catastrophe models, using an internally developed framework
  • Perform expert technical analysis for Catastrophe Model Evaluation projects including each component of the catastrophe model and the overall loss calibration
  • Liaise with internal scientists and actuaries within the broader team to enable their expertise to be best used within projects
  • Communicate findings and recommendations from evaluations to key stakeholders including underwriters, actuaries, cat modellers and senior management via both written reports and oral presentations
  • Support development of solutions for traditionally non-modelled natural perils
  • Support implementation of modelling solutions for technical pricing, accumulation management, business planning and capital setting
  • Build an external network within the catastrophe modelling industry to bring the latest research and developments into AXA XL’s modelling practices, including interacting with catastrophe model vendors
  • Manage the model evaluation team located in London and Indi
