Description:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Four + years of experience in advocacy, organizing, customer service, or related fields.
- Ability to work comfortably under pressure with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A self starter with experience demonstrating sound judgment and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and a client-centric approach
- Possess high levels of cultural competency and/or sensitivity to understand policy/programmatic impacts and engage with and empower clients effectively and respectfully
- Comfort with ambiguity and unpredictability in a rapidly changing and people focused work environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with people of diverse personal and professional backgrounds and to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, organizational partners, and clients
- Ability to work independently with assistance from external consultants and supervision from internal leaders
- Experience presenting and designing high-quality presentations for organization and community partnerships
- Passion for collaboration and innovative problem-solving that centers social justice and equity
- Adaptable and open to diverse environments with a process-oriented mindset
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, CLIO, or similar case management systems,
- Familiarity with Google Suite is a plus.

Responsibilities:
MORE ABOUT THE SENIOR MANAGER OF COMMUNITY RELATIONS ROLE
In this role, you will oversee outreach and engagement efforts to current and future community partners and CEDP clients throughout the state. You will wear a number of different hats and will work with Colorado communities to understand their needs, drive team leadership, procurement, and advocacy.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Have an understanding of all programs organization-wide to present to other organizations
- Coordinate community events to encourage active communication between CEDP/CEDLaw/Policy team and community partners.
- Represent the organization at community events, including presenting to community partners about CEDP programs and their rights under Colorado law.
- In-person connections with community organizations and in person events.
- Development of presentation content and materials for different services, audiences, and venues, including support for leadership team in developing presentation materials
- Confirm partnership relationships with community organizations, utilize these connections for shared assistance for our clients in need across all programs.
- Securing connections and relationships and maintaining them for future client needs and organizational collaboration.
- Work with CEDP/CED Law/ Policy team to create and organize information and generate reference tools for easy partner and client use.
- Support our clients as they prepare for public events, assist in drafting statements, and facilitate supportive and empowering client engagement with press, in public spaces, and at the legislature.
- Outreach and maintain relationships with clients who are interested in participating in advocacy and public speaking.
- Facilitate discussions and promote awareness of equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging throughout the organization.
- Represent change positively, embrace that change is inevitable, and support the team and culture through appropriate conversations and change management processes.
