Metro is looking for a motivated and experienced Sr. Manager of Facilities to play a critical role in our company expansion. The Sr. Manager of Facilities will serve an integral role in supporting Metro’s growth across several existing business lines and new site development. The role will encompass our LI, Westchester and New England expansion facilities. Travel is required (local and non-local as necessary). This position will be based out of our HQ in Garden City, NY, with up to 75% local travel required. Must have a reliable mode of transportation to travel between locations!
This role is designed to give broad exposure to all areas of facility management including new site development, ongoing maintenance, compliance of fire life safety systems and continual improvement. Working with external stakeholders, this person will support clinic operations by supplying necessary information and following up on requests. This role will also work with various internal teams to champion the opening of new clinics and existing facility maintenance, upgrades and ad-hoc break-fix repairs. Working with leadership and members of the finance team, you will be tasked with month end account reconciliation along with progress reports and status updates. You will directly manage a Facilities Technician and will play an important role in building out the facilities team in the future.
You will be the key point person overseeing maintenance and the overall look and feel of Metro’s 40+ locations and counting. A successful candidate should have the ability to oversee several simultaneous projects and provide updates to team members in an efficient manner.
Requirements:
- College Degree required. Degree in business management or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in project management or a similar role.
- Must have prior multi-site facilities management experience.
- Strong technical abilities required; experience installing computers is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills and attention to details.
- Must possess strong leadership qualities. Prior people management experience is preferred.
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail and a natural problem solver
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently over the phone.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Must possess a valid and clean NY driver’s license, and reliable transportation to travel between Metro locations as needed

Responsibilities:
- Oversee maintenance and repairs of clinics.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for all facility-related issues.
- Makes periodic tours of the interior/exterior of the sites and equipment to ensure standards are being maintained.
- Working closely with the IT team; assisting with overall IT needs and the installation of computers.
- Effectively working with the compliance team to ensure quality assurance measures are taken within the clinics in regards to equipment standards
- Communicating with stakeholders regarding project needs and goals.
- Contributing to the planning and development of projects.
- Supporting the coordination and management of projects.
- Performing administrative tasks such as procurement, vendor coordination, scheduling meetings, etc.
- Keeping track of and reporting on project progress.
