Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Senior Manager plays a key role in developing AGLC’s people (employees at all levels in the organization) with a focus on culture, learning and engagement. The successful candidate will oversee the design, implementation and management of a variety of programs outlined in AGLC’s People Strategy such as succession and career planning, recognition, diversity, equity and inclusion, employee and leadership development. The People Strategy focuses on creating a compelling employee experience. As a member of the divisional leadership team, the position contributes to strategic planning and decision making for the division and represents the division on various committees.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Completion of an undergraduate degree in human resources, business or equivalent, and a minimum of 5 years experience at a senior leadership level in organizational development with a proven track record of success in organizational effectiveness strategies (such as culture and engagement, change management, organizational learning, diversity, equity and inclusion).

The successful candidate requires the following skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • Certification and experience in one or more of the following: facilitation, curriculum design, leadership development, succession planning, performance management
  • Excellent planning skills with experience in leading corporate wide projects and supporting leaders through transformational change
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Skilled at translating business needs into people strategies
  • Demonstrated abilities in working collaboratively and can engage at all levels in the organization
  • Passionate about continuous improvement and client delivery with an open-minded approach to problem solving

The following are considered assets:

  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation.
