Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

With faster innovation pace, new customer expectations and tightening regulation, efficient and secure card and payment operations is a top priority for Circle K. As a global fuel retailer, we are striving to continuously stay at the forefront by making payments easy for our customers and for Circle K.
As Circle K recently expanded our operations into the Belgian, Netherland, Luxemburg and German markets, we now seek a Senior Manager Payment Operations to secure professional payment operations in these markets.
The role is business critical and part of our European Payment Operations team. Job location is flexible, however preferably located in BeNeLux or Germany.
Your main responsibilities will be to ensure end-to-end quality and performance across our payment processes. You will work on integrating and optimizing our current issuing, processing and settlement setup for bank cards and our private label fuel cards.
Other key areas to cover include card and payments related compliance, fraud prevention and vendor management, and participation as subject matter expert in strategic payment development projects and ensure secure and stable payment operations across the value chain.
The ideal candidate has proven experience working in technology driven environments at the intersection between Business and IT, preferably from the card and payments industry.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As Senior Manager Payment Operations you will play a pivotal role in securing operational excellence, security and stability of critical payment processes in BeNeLux and Germany:

  • Contribute to strategy development and support operational implementation of global and regional payment initiatives.
  • Support definition of vendor strategy and optimization of current and future state card issuance and PSP vendor mix.
  • Manage and optimize card issuing and acquiring vendor performance against cost and efficiency targets.
  • Play a central role in integration projects, including standardization of platforms and process efficiencies across fuel card issuance and bank card processing.
  • Contribute to defining and implementing future state card & payment architecture and operating model.
  • Responsible for defining, measuring and follow-up of key vendor performance KPIs/SLAs.
  • Support incident handling processes, and optimize pre-, during- and post incident processes to improve robustness.
  • Act as subject matter expert in strategic projects covering card issuing and payment processing platforms, incl. virtual card issuance, EV charging, mobile payments, etc.
  • Drive standardization and efficiency in end-to-end processes from card issuing to payment acceptance and settlement through close collaboration with key internal stakeholders, e.g. IT, Finance, Treasury, etc.
  • Ensure continuous compliance, security and stability for card and payment systems in close collaboration with European compliance lead and IT security lead.
  • Help define compliance scope for BeNeLux and German markets and support required PSP license applications and implementation.
  • Responsible for regional compliance processes related to certifications and fraud management and prevention, including investigation, mitigation and reporting.
