Compensation: $81,446 - $101,808
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Location: Based in Ottawa, hybrid with a requirement of working at least three days in the office

As a strategic thinker and trusted advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our workplace culture and people programs that foster a positive and productive work atmosphere that drives organizational success.

  • Deliver talent acquisition strategies and onboarding practices that embeds EDIA principles of a diverse workforce.
  • Develop and oversee performance management and recognition programs, provide analysis and insights for continuous improvement.
  • Champion inclusivity and diversity, develop culture initiatives, and implement strategies for EDIA and wellness.
  • Assess organizational training needs and coordinate the development and delivery of appropriate programs and legislative education awareness requirements.
  • Oversee the job evaluation and classification framework, compensation framework and ensure pay equity programs meet regulatory compliance and internal equity.
  • Design, implement and lead programs for employee benefits, WSIB, health, wellness, and connectivity, focusing on continuous improvement for staff engagement and retention.
  • Provide sound advice, and coach leadership on people matters, risks, issues and trends.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics, provide recommendations and implement changes as needed.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are followed in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Maintain a robust HRIS (BambooHR) for staff records, files, and reports.
  • Monitor relevant Human Resources and Health and Safety Policies to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure compliance and best practice programs and policies to ensure the organization remains competitive and compliant.
