Responsibilities:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Product Management Senior Manager in our Auto organization as part of Consumer Lending. Wells Fargo Auto is a leading indirect auto lender offering consumers vehicle financing through a network of approximately 11,000 dealers nationwide serving consumers with their auto financing needs.

The Senior Manager is responsible for product strategy and leadership wherein they truly understand the customer (internal and external) needs and identify the problem statements. Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Set the intent and build the framework to draw the line from intent to execution that is scalable and usable by associates and cross-functional teams.
  • Proactively engage key stakeholders and business partners, ensure they have alignment on priorities, and continue to set and manage expectations.
  • Hold the team (Product Managers and Tech) accountable for executing on the framework and monitor if prioritization and execution approach continue to align with set intent.
  • Set a high standard for execution where there is a team culture to ensure execution meets intent.

As the leader you will build a unifying vision by aligning goals across the organization and delegating them strategically to deliver results. Ability to coach and mentor employees to achieve results during ambiguous or challenging times will be critical to success.

In this role, you will:

  • Directly manage and develop product owners, analysts and contributors leading product strategy
  • Drive product strategy, and build the initiative roadmaps for the products you own and manage.
  • Formulate product positioning, and lead the articulation of product value propositions to customers and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and understood
  • Drive product discovery, including customer insights through primary and secondary research, business analytics, competitive dynamics, technology trends, macroeconomic factors, and regulatory requirements
  • Build frameworks for complex decision making that enable effective debate and accelerate getting to the right answer
  • Drive envisioning of customer experience in partnership with in-house or third-party design resources, including developing customer journey maps and UI/UX wireframes
  • Collaborate and consult with product managers, analysts and multiple level managers
  • Drive execution through your teams, and foster a strong agile discipline that inspires teams to continuously improve delivery evidenced through key agility metrics
  • Develop and drive use of metrics and general guidelines, and ensure usage. Track and report on performance metrics and key performance indicators, leading to success on the overarching objectives and key results
  • Interact directly with vendors as well as help the business conduct build v. buy analyses
  • Manage operational implementation in partnership with change management, sales and operations teams
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Product Management
  • Motivate and inspire others to work towards executing on their goals and objectives
  • Work for employee commitment towards the organization’s purpose
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
