JOB DESCRIPTION
The Professional Services Center of Excellence (COE) Project Manager at Tekion is a critical member of the Professional Services Team, responsible for leading initiatives that enhance delivery processes, tools, and professional services capabilities. This role requires defining and executing project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with organizational goals. The Project Manager ensures the successful implementation of initiatives by coordinating cross-functional collaboration, measuring performance outcomes, and fostering knowledge sharing across teams. Reporting to the Vice President of Professional Services, this full-time position bridges strategic oversight with hands-on project leadership.
KNOWLEDGE SHARING AND ENABLEMENT
- Partner with Product teams to gain early access to new releases and updates, ensuring alignment with implementation strategies.
- Facilitate training and knowledge-sharing sessions to embed new tools, templates, and processes within the organization.
- Serve as a key resource for disseminating best practices and lessons learned across Professional Services teams.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- SaaS Project Management: 7–10+ years of project management experience, with at least 3–5 years specifically in SaaS or technology-focused environments.
- Experience delivering SaaS solutions to clients, including onboarding, implementations, or post-launch services.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with Sales, Product Development, Customer Success, and Engineering teams.
- Experience with Tools: Expertise in project management tools like Jira, Trello, Asana, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.
- Process Improvement: Experience in analyzing and optimizing operational processes for efficiency and scalability.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to use data analysis and dashboards to track performance and inform decisions.
- Knowledge of Professional Services: Familiarity with service delivery models, customer success, and post-sales lifecycle management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to coordinate efforts across teams such as Sales, Customer Success, and Product.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fields: Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- Certifications:
- PMP or PRINCE2: Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification to validate project management skills.
- Agile Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP for Agile project management proficiency.
- Lean Six Sigma: Green or Black Belt certification for process improvement expertise.
- Expertise in automotive dealership operations and systems (Dealer Management Systems preferred).
