Description:
Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a senior manager. In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in developing a new generation of large-scale European battery factories. Responsibilities:
Oversee the creation and development of prototypes, ensuring they meet design specifications and are finished within project timelines and budgets.
Lead the design and implementation of efficient fabrication business processes for Northvolt, Northvolt Systems but also with the focus of external customers.
Direct a manager and individual contributors, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning with having the prototype and serial processes in mind.
Collaborate with various departments, including Product development, Serial Operation, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain, to ensure prototypes are accurately translated into production-ready designs.
Champion sustainability and safety initiatives within the fabrication & prototyping team, aiming to establish a safe work environment to minimize health and environmental impact and promote human and eco-friendly manufacturing practices.
Drive innovation in prototyping and fabrication methods,
incorporating new technologies and materials to enhance product development and manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications/education/experience
MSc in e.g. Chemical/Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical engineering
Minimum of 12 years of experience in similar industry, such as automotive, medical devices, high-tech electronics manufacturing. Battery systems experience is a major plus, but not a must.
Experienced in implementing quality management systems and standards
Highly experienced in quality improvement and problem-solving tools such as six sigma, 8D etc (Six sigma certifications are a major plus).
Experience in building a successful Quality organization in a very fast-growing environment
Exposure to full supply chain & manufacturing process, with understanding of end-to-end quality management
Knowledge and technical understanding of regulated industry processes, components and manufacturing techniques
Experience from a multi-cultural environment
