We’re on the hunt for a Senior Manager Research and Development (f/m/x) to join our dynamic team of over 60 international consumer talents at our Hamburg HQ, propelling us further towards our ambitious goals.
Tasks
- Spearhead the development of groundbreaking FMCG products in beauty, pet, and garden care, with a hands-on approach in lab work and innovation.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and technologies to guide product innovation, ensuring compliance with global standards.
- Collaborate closely with brand management, procurement, and operations teams to ensure smooth market launches of new products.
- Lead international B2B client projects from inception to completion, focusing on laboratory-based activities and innovation.
- Manage and mentor a team of six researchers, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation both within the lab and in broader organizational contexts.
Requirements
- A solid academic foundation in chemistry, biochemistry, or cosmetic science.
- At least 5 years of experience in cosmetic or pet care product development, with a track record of leading successful product launches.
- Expertise in cosmetic formulation, ingredient interactions, product stability, and performance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cosmetic regulations and compliance across FDA, EU, and other international standards.
- Experience in team leadership, with a penchant for hands-on mentoring within a research environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of bridging complex technical details to a diverse range of stakeholders.
