Responsibilities:
The Senior Manager Respect at Work is a newly established role that will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive and contemporary processes, operating procedures and strategies designed to:
Prevent and manage inappropriate sex-based behaviour at NSW Ambulance, Improve the experience of employees involved in the complaints process relating to sexual harassment and sexual discrimination, Increase employee awareness and experiences of sexual safety at NSW Ambulance through best practice program development and implementation.
The Senior Manager Respect at Work is to assume responsibility and accountability for the complaint and investigations practice of their team and will supervise and provide specialist advice to their team of investigators within the Respect at Work Unit. The position holder will maintain a detailed understanding of the status, progress and issues relating to all matters within the practice and be able to brief the Executive Director, People & Culture and Senior Executive as appropriate. The position holder will ensure that all statutory requirements relating to investigations and legal matters are complied with. The position holder will also be accountable for building contemporary and fit-for-purpose strategies and programs that will drive culture change at all levels of the organisation.
The Senior Manager Respect at Work reports directly to the Executive Director, People & Culture in developing and delivering policies and comprehensive programs that establish best-practice systems to prevent and eliminate sexual harassment, sexual discrimination and other sex-based behaviours at NSW Ambulance, this will include but is not limited to the finalisation and implementation of the NSW Ambulance Respect at Work Strategy.
