This position will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, ongoing improvement, and coordination of an enterprise-wide risk management program including risk identification, analysis, mitigation, tracking and reporting to executive management and the Board. The Enterprise Risk Management program is integral to the management of company-wide risk through informed decisions to achieve both short- and long-term strategic goals

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist senior management in developing and maintaining enterprise risk management framework for WU subsidiary entities – WUBS and WUIB, - and other subsidiary entities, where applicable
  • Support senior management in implementation of the risk governance framework and defining risk appetite for WU subsidiary entities (Risk Appetite Statement) and ensuring alignment with the Enterprise Risk Management framework
  • Prepare and chair the Global Payments Global Risk Committee (GRC)
  • Manage WUBS Risk Materiality Assessment program
  • Conduct an annual WUBS Risk Assessment exercise
  • Support Business initiatives to introduce new products, enter new markets, and integrate acquired assets
  • Manage central risk database, risk register and reporting mechanisms for WUBS
  • Manage and support efforts in periodic and ad hoc risk assessments (e.g. annual Enterprise Risk and Controls Self-Assessment exercise), risk management due diligence, treatment plan assessment, loss event analysis, KRI/KCI/KPI monitoring
  • Assist senior management in identification of emerging risks, ensuring an effective risk management framework, and helping to influence the firm’s risk culture
  • Conduct analysis, research relevant topics and provide risk management recommendations to business and peer groups
  • Promote and support adoption and implementation of a firm-wide culture of risk awareness and risk management
  • Research enterprise risk management industry trends and developments and maintain regular updates on the trends and advances and share knowledge with the business
  • Develop and maintain training materials supporting advancement of risk management understanding and establishment of risk management practices throughout various business functions
  • Plan and manage deployment of risk management training programs and risk workshops with middle, senior and executive management and provide guidance to key stakeholders to reinforce continuous enhancement and maturity of the Enterprise Risk Management program. Conduct risk-based training programs, where necessary
  • Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders within the first, second and third lines of defense, and drive agreement on actions to control and mitigate identified risks
  • Consult and guide KRIs owners on establishment and evolution of meaningful KRIs
  • Provide thought leadership, guidance, and consultation to Risk staff in the creation and implementation of risk management documentation such as Enterprise Risk Management Policy, Enterprise Risk Management Framework, subsidiary Enterprise Risk Management framework, relevant enterprise procedures, functional and business risk governance documentation, TWUC Risk Appetite Statement
  • Address complex problems and critical issues escalated from other teams
  • Assist senior management in maintaining a holistic view on all risks embedded in WUBS and other respective WU subsidiary entities business models by managing comprehensive and understandable risk summary, conducting daily oversight and periodic management reporting of WUBS risk indicators, (including KRI reporting and drafting executive level summary of KRIs outside of tolerance levels)
  • Conduct regular oversight and reporting of emerging enterprise risks across WUBS organization , and produce ad hoc enterprise and regulatory risk reports, where necessary
  • Lead and guide the development of meaningful enterprise risk analysis and reporting to the licensed entities’ Boards, various Risk Committees, and other senior stakeholders (e.g. risk registers, enterprise risk reporting, KRIs reporting, etc.)
  • Manage WUBS KRI’s development, evolution, management, and reporting to the respective Boards and senior management
  • Maintain the WUBS KRIs registers, analysis of KRI information and production of KRIs dashboards to proactively identify occurring KRIs deviations and risks trends that require Executive Management’s and senior management’s attention
  • Support regulatory submissions and filings as they pertain to risk management- Support development and maintenance of risk management framework and risk strategy documentation for the Company in manner that ensures alignment with business strategy and objectives
  • Develop, implement and maintain risk and control policies and protocols to identify, control, manage and mitigate risks in the business processes (e.g. Global Payments Risk Management Governance Policy, Global Payments Global Risk Strategy, Global Payments Global Risk Management Governance Framework working procedure, Global Payments Global Risk Committee Charter, etc.)
  • Support adoption and application of risk policies and procedures throughout the organization in a manner that practically supports each relevant function
