REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in security operations, with at least 5 years in a senior management role overseeing multiple sites or regions.
  • Professional training or certifications in global security management, risk management, or related fields (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or similar).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience leading diverse, global security teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of global security operations, risk assessment, incident management, and access control technologies.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective global security policies and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or similar credentials are highly desirable.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to travel internationally as needed to oversee global security operations.
  • Must pass a background check and security clearance process.
  • Business fluency in English, any additional language is a plus

Responsibilities:

Global Security Strategy and Policy:

  • Develop, define, and implement a comprehensive global security strategy that aligns with the organization’s objectives and risk management framework.
  • Establish and maintain global security policies, protocols, and standards to ensure the protection of all sites, personnel, and assets.
  • Regularly review and update the global security policy to adapt to emerging threats and evolving business needs.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and manage a global network of local Security Team Leads, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure consistent security practices across all sites.
  • Foster a collaborative environment among the global security teams, encouraging knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Conduct regular meetings with local Security Team Leads to monitor performance, address challenges, and ensure alignment with global security objectives.

Security Operations Management:

  • Oversee the implementation and management of security operations at all sites, ensuring that physical security, perimeter protection, access control, and loss prevention measures are effectively enforced.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of security operations globally, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Ensure that all security operations comply with local, national, and international regulations and industry standards.

Incident Management and Crisis Response:

  • Develop and oversee global incident management protocols, ensuring a coordinated and effective response to security incidents across all sites.
  • Lead the global incident response team in managing critical situations, including security breaches, emergencies, and workplace violence.
  • Analyze incidents to identify trends and root causes, implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Conduct global risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities across all sites.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect the organization’s personnel, assets, and reputation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate security considerations into broader risk management initiatives.

Access Control and Technology Integration:

  • Oversee the global implementation of access control systems and technologies, ensuring they are consistently applied across all sites.
  • Evaluate and integrate new security technologies and innovations to enhance the global security posture.
  • Ensure that access control protocols are regularly reviewed and updated to meet global security standards.

Vendor and Contractor Management:

  • Manage relationships with global security vendors and contractors, ensuring they meet the organization’s security requirements and standards.
  • Oversee the selection, evaluation, and performance of external security service providers, ensuring alignment with the global security strategy.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and manage budgets related to global security operations.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure that all global security operations comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on global security operations to senior leadership, highlighting key risks, incidents, and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of security incidents, audits, and compliance efforts for all sites.
