Senior Manager, Software Engineering

As Marqeta’s Senior Manager, Software Engineering you will be responsible for the Data Engineering Platform team and report directly to the Senior Director of Marqeta’s Data Platform.
The Data Engineering Platform team is made up of diverse, agile-thinking, and highly-skilled professionals; we use our combined capabilities to enable the organization with innovation, speed, agility, scalability and efficiency. Bringing an innovative, high tech, modern and inspiring approach that helps to align employees with Marqeta’s vision, fun culture and business strategy is essential.
We are looking for a very strong, hands-on, and experienced technical leader to lead the development in the areas mentioned above. These will include architecture design, implementation, and production, in addition to team building. Since we are in a fast-growth mode, at the same time as growing the team, hands-on development work is expected.
