Description:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Strategic transformation and change management – develop and implement a high-impact transformation roadmap for the Function, positioning us to align and enable the Vodafone Shared Operations vision and strategic objectives. This role will be critical in ensuring that our Function creates value and operates efficiently and effectively to support business growth. The individual will lead and manage transformation initiatives, ensuring successful delivery, stakeholder engagement and sustainable change. They will identify and drive opportunities for process improvement, automation and digitization within the Function.
- Programme and Project Management – act as business manager for the General Counsel and oversee a portfolio of programmes and projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including within the Service Towers, to ensure alignment and integration of Legal, Business Integrity and External Affairs programmes within broader organizational projects.
- Operational Excellence – ensure operational efficiency across the Function, including managing resources, suppliers, budgets and technology solutions. Develop and implement best practices for legal operations, including contract management, legal and security technology, knowledge management, metrics and reporting. Lead initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance the quality of services provided to the business.
- Stakeholder Management and Communication – act as key liaison between our Function and other business units (e.g. the wider CSO organisation and Vodafone Group) to ensure the design and delivery of relevant programmes. Manage external relationships with vendors, consultants and other third-party service providers.
- Leadership and Team Development – build and lead a high-performing team. Provide coaching and business partnering on programmes and projects to the Functional Leadership Community. Lead on functional programmes that foster a culture of innovation, forward-thinking and continuous improvement with the Function.
CORE COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

MUST HAVE TECHNICAL / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive experience in legal/ compliance/ risk/ security operations, programme management or transformation roles within a corporate environment.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing transformation initiatives and complex programmes.
- Strong understanding of legal/ compliance/ risk/ security processes, technology and operations in an in-house environment.
- Experience in managing budgets, resources and vendor relationships.
- Professional level fluency in written and spoken English
