JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Manager, Strategy & Special Projects is responsible for developing strategy and tactics to achieve organizational goals, preparing senior leadership presentations, drafting business cases, performing qualitative / quantitative analysis, and supporting member-facing meetings and events.
The ideal candidate combines outstanding business acumen, deep understanding of user behaviors, and communication skills, and uses internal and external data as well as business tools (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) to develop, communicate, and implement strategy and priorities across Ensemble.
Reporting to the VP of Strategy & Finance, the Senior Manager will have significant exposure to senior management with the opportunity to work closely with various business unit leaders across the organization. The Senior Manager will play a critical role in the success of Ensemble and in being an industry-leading consortia serving our members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of internal strategy and/or analytics experience in a fast-growing and multi-disciplinary industry; or 3-5 years of advisory / consulting experience as an analyst or associate in professional services.
  • Proven experience developing strategy, senior management or Board materials, commercial business cases, financial models independently.
  • Ability to communicate complex findings in succinct, digestible ways to senior audience
  • Ownership mentality and a self-starter / can-do attitude, with strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to form strong working relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced PowerPoint is critical with emphasis on the ability to synthesize complex information to present in a concise and structured manner.
  • Advanced Excel is essential with emphasis on the ability to manipulate complex financial and operational data.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environment with significant change, ambiguity and adapting to evolving organizational requirements.
  • Project management skills to ensure strategic initiatives are progressing as planned
  • Experience with BI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor, partnering with key stakeholders to develop and maintain a cohesive narrative of strategic outlook, opportunities, and key drivers for each of the Company’s business unit and the organization as a whole.
  • Perform research and analysis, validate assumptions and drivers, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to support Ensemble’s immediate growth strategy.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop KPIs relevant to each business unit and initiatives; work closely with stakeholders to achieve objectives
  • Lead in the preparation of management presentations, including but not limited to business cases, monthly / quarterly business reviews, and other executive updates.
  • Act as a central repository for presentation assets; based on objectives of internal and member-facing meetings and events, recommend and augment relevant materials
