Description:

DAY- TO-DAY OPERATIONS

Providing input to the development and implementation of EPC subcontracting procedures, and supporting the development of strategies, schedules, forecasts, and budgets.
Providing input to manpower plans for the EPC subcontracting department, support recruitment of selection of personnel and clearly define job descriptions, personal goals and perform performance reviews for all EPC subcontract personnel reporting to them.
Understand and promote current best-in-class sourcing strategies and methodologies across the industry and support developing, negotiating, implementing and maintaining competitively advantageous supply strategies, new approaches and contract arrangements to improve EPC project deliverables.
Understand and challenge technical specifications, commercial practices, operating practices and business processes with a focus on driving cost reduction initiatives.
Develop efficient bid tabulations (TBE & CBE) and lead sourcing reviews with cross functional teams and benchmark from historical spend and validate the spend.
Managing and coordinating project subcontracts personnel, and collecting and reporting actual progress on activities against the plan and schedule on a regular, i.e. weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
Support the development and implementation of pro forma documents for bid, evaluation, and award cycles of all project subcontracts.
Ensuring that all subcontract award recommendations and change orders receive required project reviews and approvals and meet ethics standards.
Facilitate the qualification of additional strategic subcontractors required to support the proposed project execution plan.
Strict adherence to the subcontracts commercial processes in accordance with established company procedures and policies.
Coordinating and participating in the review of contracts and contract negotiations and the development of standard T&C for similar projects.
Monitor, communicate, and respond to changing market conditions and business drivers to maximize leverage and minimize risk.
Set KPI for subcontractors and monitor them.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Possess a bachelor’s degree with experience in managing construction, engineering, and EPC contracts.
Project Management.
10+ years of supervisory work experience in an EPC company.
Proven track record of executing construction and EPC contracts in large and Mega scale projects.
Ability to employ the appropriate influence strategies with project management, engineering teams, legal & contracts, yard procurement teams, and business stakeholders to meet established goals and objectives.
Able to coordinate and communicate effectively with project team members in other departments including e.g. engineering, construction, procurement, project controls, project management, legal, and risk management.
Substantial expertise in managing risks and function independently as a primary commercial advisor for proposal and project execution teams.
Able to coordinate and communicate effectively with bidders and subcontractors.
Lead coordination efforts internally and externally and expedite internal and external team members as necessary to meet deadlines.
Ability to effectively communicate technical and non-technical information, across cultures and organizations is a key success factor.
Able to autonomously resolve subcontract issues internally and externally.
Able to effectively manage a team of assigned Subcontracts personnel, provide on the job training to the team as needed and monitor their work for compliance with the procedures, quality check the team’s work, and provide other support as required to the Project Manager and Project Management Team.
Able to manage all subcontract activities and personnel against budget and schedule.
Conduct quarterly performance check-ins with assigned direct reports and provide input/feedback for annual performance evaluations.
Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with all departments in the company.
Strong negotiating skills and contract / commercial acumen to manage change orders
