In order to strengthen our Finance Team in Eppelheim, we are looking for: Senior Manager Supply Chain Finance
As the Senior Manager Supply Chain Finance, this role is pivotal in overseeing Site Performance Management, Total Delivered Cost (TDC), and Capital Investments at the company’s largest manufacturing site in Eppelheim.
The position provides finance business partnering and leadership to both local and global supply chain leadership teams. It involves setting operational and financial performance measurements to ensure tight control over production, direct materials, and logistic input costs.
Additionally, the role supports the supply chain leadership team in identifying productivity and working capital improvement programs, while also working to maximize ROI for capital projects. This position ensures the delivery of standard cost rates to commercial business units for defining pricing strategies during annual plans and forecasts.
Over time, this role will evolve into the Center of Excellence (COE) for developing and implementing manufacturing controlling systems and processes for Capri Sun Group.
Your Key Responsibilities
Finance Leadership and Business Partnering
- Provide finance leadership to local and global Supply Chain teams
- Lead the local Supply Chain Finance team (4 controllers), including performance management, coaching, and mentoring support
- Support Supply Chain leadership to identify and drive productivity initiatives and working capital improvement programs
- Provide financial support for direct and indirect material sourcing and co-manufacturing services and logistic network optimization strategies
Performance Measurement and Controlling
- Develop annual plans for TDC, Capex, and working capital. Conduct detailed actual cost variance analysis vs. budget and provide regular YTG updates for rolling monthly forecasts
- Set supply chain scorecards to track performance vs. targets in production, procurement, and logistics areas. Provide Supply Chain leadership with recommendations on improvement areas
- Maximize ROI for capital projects. Control actual capex spend vs. approved budget
- Control Supply Chain administration and logistic cost (including inbound and outbound freight rates, internal and external warehousing costs, environmental fees)
- Support revenue realization strategies with cost assessment for NPDs and various TDC modelling
Financial Reporting
- Calculate standard TDC rates for production SKUs. Minimize actual cost variances vs. planned rates via regular cost updates
- Assure accurate booking of provisions, accrual releases, and inventory revaluations. Conduct monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow revisions with accounting
- Reconcile Supply Chain financial results vs. Group consolidated P&L results.
- Control intercompany pricing, cross-charges, and cost allocations to BUs from the production entity
- Assure that the statutory profit of the production entity is in line with target margins via intercompany transfer price and markup updates
Develop best-in-Class Supply Chain Finance systems and processes
- Support system and processes development to enhance Supply Chain data quality, analytical capabilities, and provide competitive insights to local and group management
Your Profile
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Finance, preferably at a multinational FMCG
- Proven working knowledge and experience in manufacturing, procurement, and logistic control
- Proven knowledge of standard costing, inter-company transfer pricing, and cross charges
- Ability to identify and drive process improvements resulting in cost savings.
- Ability to conduct financial assessments and build sound business cases for capital investment projects
- Strong communication skills and project management experience
- Proven finance leadership with the ability to challenge the status quo and influence decision-making of senior management
- Ability to build cross-functional networks within the matrix organization
- A master’s degree and preferably relevant designations such as ACCA
- People leadership skills, and ability to address performance issues and develop capabilities
- Agile mindset, comfortable with the constant change
- Fluent oral and written communication skills in English and German
- Have strong SAP (CO, PCA) and MS Office skills
- Team player with a can-do attitude
