CONNECT TO YOUR SKILLS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

A successful individual will demonstrate the following behaviours, capabilities, and experience:

  • Proven experience in supply chain sustainability or related field, preferably in a consulting environment or within a sustainability function in a business with a physical supply chain (e.g. Consumer Goods, Industrial Products or Pharmaceuticals) or a government department.
  • Experience advising businesses, or driving transformation, to deliver circularity or decarbonisation strategies.
  • Experience working with suppliers to create positive sustainability impact and demonstrate the benefits of the impact achieved is a core requirement.
  • Experience in capturing data and engaging with suppliers on the subjects of decarbonisation, traceability, transforming supply chains for regulatory compliance, circularity, or decarbonisation.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and regulations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing circular economy or decarbonisation strategies.
  • Experience in working with suppliers to decarbonise their processes and operations in emerging markets or complex supply chains.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability risks and threats, including regulations, as well as sustainability management principles and practices.
  • Experience in conducting sustainability risk assessments and audits, as well as developing and implementing sustainability management strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and their suppliers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess risks and develop effective sustainability management strategies.
  • Have the ability to learn fast and deliver quality work under pressure and produce key client work upon joining the firm.
  • Have an agile and analytical mind and enjoy problem solving and independently finding creative solutions to client problems is a critical skill to succeeding in this role.
  • Experience of being able to provide advice on sustainable supply chain best practices, including related to procurement category management planning, supply chain risk assessment, supplier engagement, contracting and on-going supplier risk management.
  • Experience using the MS Office suite such as Powerpoint and Excel and the ability to concisely present an idea or position will be crucial.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelors or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Supply Chain Management or related field is preferred but not critical.
Relevant certifications such as CSCP, or SCPro are helpful.
Working with EE provides a mixture of working in the office, client sites and visiting third parties’ premises, which provides variety and a well-rounded mix of work environments.
