Description:
WHAT YOU’LL BRING;
- Minimum University or College diploma in Computer Science/Engineering, or acceptable combination of education and relevant experience required.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience implementing Tier 1 or Tier 2 technology platforms
- Minimum 10+ years managing large projects at the program level or across the entire technology portfolio
- Project and program experience in retail and ecommerce preferred
- PMI or agile certification required
- Prior program experience with D365FnO and Salesforce technologies considered an asset
- Experience with IT Solution Delivery Life Cycle Methodology.
- Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Manager of Technical Delivery (TDM) with Sporting Life Group, you will lead and oversee the successful execution of technology delivery programs within our organization. Sporting Life Group is a leading Canadian sports lifestyle retail organization comprising iconic banners, Golf Town, Sporting Life and Team Town Sports.
Within this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all technical initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards. To be successful in this role you will have a strong background in managing complex technical projects, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring client satisfaction through exceptional delivery and technical expertise.
- Champion the technology transformation for technical delivery
- Manage and refine the delivery process, from intake to post-implementation review
- Make all significant work activity visible and keep key stakeholders informed of progress
- Build the reporting model and matrices for the technology portfolio, including budget
- Work closely with Technology peers to track team capacity and velocity
- Oversee backlogs and ensure they are fed into planning delivery execution
- Update technology roadmaps based on how the system is projected to evolve, aligned to fluid timelines and known deadlines
- Document upcoming features and system capabilities for the broader organization
- Coordinate effort as needed across multiple business units
- Remove tactical blockers and escalate when needed
- Identify and manage risk that could affect delivery
- Manage a team of contract Project Managers to support larger technology initiatives as needed
