About the Role
As a Senior Manager, Workforce Strategy in our Workforce Strategy & Transformation Team, you’ll play a key role in helping to become trusted advisors and delivery partners to T&C and the business, through a strategy led, data informed, and people enabled approach to workforce strategy and transformation.
As owner and lead of the Workforce Strategy discipline, the role will be responsible for overseeing the professional development of members of the Workforce Strategy team, including supporting defining and leading delivery of capability uplift requirements. This position is required to drive continuous improvement across the specialist discipline, with a focus on delivery efficiency.
Beyond the ownership and development of the specialist discipline, the role will have oversight of the technical discipline to ensure appropriate application and quality of outcomes, whilst supporting the Head of Workforce Strategy & Analytics in WS&T prioritisation, resourcing allocation and decision making as it relates to Workforce Strategy.
The role will work closely with the Workforce Strategy Execution Lead to ensure a seamless handover and end-to-end experience for the business when shifting from development to implementation of Workforce Strategy.

What will your day look like?

Responsibilities:

Supporting the development of the organisational play book for Workforce Strategy Development
Scoping and acting as an SME and providing oversight for select major programs and projects across the capability as required
Works with WS&T Portfolio owners to problem solve workforce strategy development approaches that ensure the delivery of projects, and manage the methodology issues of inflight projects
Monitoring adherence to the standards within area of expertise and ensuring alignment with Workforce Strategy Execution, Programmatic Analytics, Reporting Delivery and other WS&T Strategic Capabilities (Workforce Implementation, Organisation Strategy & Design)
Ensuring a business readiness assessment is applied for new Workforce strategy development projects before committing support, including ensuring business problems have been validly identified
Monitoring and driving capability development towards the vision for the expertise of the Capability
Continuously developing expertise and staying up to date with emerging trends, practices and information in area of expertise and more broadly
Supporting the Head of Workforce Strategy & Analytics in working with WS&T Portfolio Owners, other W&ST LT and wider T&C to understand and plan for workforce capability needs, current and future
Owning and managing the service proposition for Workforce Strategy (including Workforce Strategy Delivery)
Supporting management of the total capability pool available to deliver projects including leveraging individuals in Workforce Strategy & Analytics, wider WS&T and external 3rd parties (including defining the way of working, governance and escalations on Workforce Strategy projects with consultancies)
Responsible for the personal development, performance reviews and capability uplift of direct reports
Coaching and development planning on expertise and personal development by promoting an ‘always learning’ culture
Share insights and knowledge of own expertise with Project Leads/members and organisation
Supporting the Head of Workforce Strategy & Analytics with input into WS&T governance, including WS&T prioritisation, resource allocation and decision making as it relates to Workforce Strategy
