We are a team of Manufacturing and Automation Engineering professionals who embrace a collaborative environment to tackle sophisticated challenges to meet the needs of our patients. As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with Viatris, you will have the opportunity to lead by example, and enjoy mentoring and learning from others. - Leading the execution of continuous improvement projects and initiatives on manufacturing equipment, demonstrating a data-driven approach.
- Supporting the manufacturing process and developing expertise on equipment and interactions with the process, being a key contributor to the resolution of persistent complex technical problems.
- Preparing equipment performance reports by collecting, analysing and summarising information and trends, in support of process improvement.
- Managing multiple deadlines and determining work priorities, the majority of which is to be done autonomously.
- Actively promoting and participating in cross-functional teamwork as an influential team member.
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
- The ideal candidate will be a Mechanical/Manufacturing/Engineering graduate with 5 years of experience in a high speed, highly automated drug, or medical device fill/assembly/packaging operation or within another highly regulated industry.
- Proficient and experienced in driving projects and continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing with knowledge and competencies in quality, validation and maintenance systems.
- A motivated and flexible person who can formulate detailed plans with minimum supervisory influence and manage them through to completion.
- Highly developed problem-solving ability with good analytical skills and sound judgment to respond to potentially complicated or novel situations.
- Demonstrated experience in design and execution of technical reports in support of manufacturing process improvement, deviations and problem solving.
- Demonstrated strong communication and team-working skills, including the ability to work effectively and influence decisions across functions, communicating effectively through verbal and written means.
- A track record of developing efficient, innovative and creative solutions to complex and challenging engineering problems, using established tools and frameworks; Lean/Six Sigma certification would be advantageous.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
