Job title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Production Line Design

Salary: Circa £43,000

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing engineering environment
  • Six Sigma Lean experience – DMEDI / DMAIC
  • Knowledge of APQP (Advance product quality planning)
  • Knowledge of PAPP (Production Part Approval Process)
  • Knowledge of NPI (New Product Introduction)
  • Knowledge of PFMEA (Process Failure Modes and Effect Analysis)
  • Pull through production line experience

Responsibilities:

  • Development of a pull through production process utilising lean skills and core tools
  • Responsible for converting the Engineering Design intent into Manufacturing Engineering data for Manufacturing Operations use
  • Provide decision making information by calculating production, labour and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements; ensuring quality and repeatability
  • Act as project focal point for discipline specific tasks ensuring best practices are adopted and embedded
