The state-of-the-art multi-purpose manufacturing facility is crafted for large-scale production of biologics and has high expansion potential. Our site in Lengnau will offer highly flexible biomanufacturing technologies, from development to large-scale production including stainless steel equipment to meet our customer needs.
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer qualification to join our Operational Support team in Lengnau. You’ll guide our Process Engineers, ensuring the success of our manufacturing operations. You’ll handle batch record reviews, documentation updates, PCS and MES improvements, continuous enhancement, and tech transfer support.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor/Master/PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or related field.
  • Proficiency in English; German is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years in pharmaceutical operations within a GMP environment.
  • Experience in biotech processes, sterile processes, and production equipment handling.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrix environment and collaborate with multi-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and availability for remote on-call duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and guide Process Engineers to optimize manufacturing performance and uphold quality standards.
  • Review and ensure accuracy and compliance of batch records and documentation.
  • Build and update SOPs, work instructions, process flowcharts and requirement documentation to reflect best practices.
  • Drive updates to Process Control Systems (PCS) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to improve efficiency.
  • Lead and supply to continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities.
  • Support tech transfer activities to ensure successful process and technology transitions.
  • Collaborate with departments like Manufacturing Science, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to align on operational goals.
  • Take accountability for performance and efficiency and deliver high-quality results.
  • Think and act with a customer-centric approach, addressing the needs of stakeholders.
