JOB SUMMARY:
Lauren Services is seeking a Marine Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Marine Structures and contribute to the design and analysis of marine projects. The Marine Engineer will also prepare plans, estimates, and schedules, acting as a project coordinator and leader throughout the design, construction, and testing phases.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ Years of experience in Marine Engineering with a focus on the Energy sector
- Current Member of EGBC
- Proven experience in the design and construction of marine structures, especially for LNG transportation.
- Strong technical skills in structural analysis and design software including but not limited to BIM, CAD, Civil3D, SFRAME, STAAD, RISA, Siemens PLM, Ship Constructor, Dassault Systems and SolidWorks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Create and oversee designs for marine structures related to LNG transportation, including docks, wharves, jetties, and bulkheads.
- Structural Analysis: Conduct structural inspections and condition surveys, providing recommendations for rehabilitation, repair, and asset management.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare engineering reports, proposals, contract documents, and detailed design drawings using BIM, CAD, and Civil3D.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and engage in technical discussions with clients and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers and technical support staff in engineering best practices.
- Compliance: Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations, acting as the Engineer of Record for select projects.
