About the role
AGL has an exciting 12-month secondment opening to join the Regulatory, Compliance & Risk Transformation team as a Senior Market Reconciliation Analyst. You will play a key role in AGL’s strategy to engage with external market participants, advocating for simplification in all aspects of AGL’s operations and advancing the development of our network and market reconciliation functions.
Reporting to the Senior Energy Market Specialist, this position collaborates across Retail Transformation to fortify AGL’s future through deliberate design, ensuring regulatory and legal compliance is central while fostering innovation and customer-centric solutions. The role has a significant impact on various internal and external stakeholders, providing expert guidance to help make smart and strategic decisions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the design of AGL’s future state, ensuring that any new market reconciliation systems and processes implemented throughout the Retail Transformation Program satisfy regulatory requirements
  • Proactively drive uplift and enhancements to market reconciliation systems and processes
  • Proactively collaborating with the broader Customer Markets teams, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with and delivery of Customer Markets objectives
  • Maintaining comprehensive understanding of NEM reform changes and effectively disseminating this knowledge throughout the Retail Transformation Program
  • Support engagement with market participants, the market operator, and external stakeholders – such as distributors and metering operators on behalf of AGL to pursue AGL’s strategic objectives relevant to the Retail Transformation Program.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with high quality written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, representing AGL’s interests when communicating to various external bodes, including market participants and vendors
  • Proactively identify and propose practical, efficient and effective solutions to new problems
  • Commercial and strategic attitude toward ensuring regulatory compliance within the business, using insights and data to drive a continuous improvement approach
