Description:

SUMMARY

The Senior Marketing Analyst is responsible for delivering flow assurance and maximizing
netback value for the Surge’s crude and natural gas production.
The Senior Financial Analyst is expected to be an independent problem solver who can integrate products and processes with other groups and stakeholders. He/she has well developed critical analytical skills and is adept in utilizing good decision-making tools. While focusing on attaining key results takes clear steps to simplify, enhance and improve collaboration among coworkers and external partners. The Senior Marketing Analyst applies technology and tools to improve processes and achieve business results.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of Oil and Gas industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting, Engineering or other related field of study.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of US onshore upstream and midstream businesses (TX preferred).
  • Exceptional time-management, planning and organizational skills are required.
  • Advanced Excel skills with high level of proficiency in financial modeling.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with Marketing Director, develop and execute plans to ensure capacity for flow assurance at optimal pricing and services.
  • Coordinate the negotiation, preparation, and administration of all commodity sales, transportation, and gathering and processing agreements.
  • Ensure wells are connected to third party gathering systems in a timely manner
  • Works with Planning group to assist in budget and forecasting efforts
  • Evaluate production levels and prepare monthly crude nominations
  • Prepare monthly crude and natural gas pricing analysis, including estimated natural gas price for revenue accrual, verification of oil prices, and gas realizations analysis
  • Coordinate with field and engineering any operational issues affecting commercial arrangements and coordinate all aspects of production flow assurance to minimize downtime and flaring
  • Provide marketing considerations and contract review to assess the impact of marketing considerations for acquisition evaluations
  • Coordinate with Regulatory for permitting/reporting requirements
  • Distribute weekly flare gas reports to third-party G&P providers
  • Evaluate electricity usage and costs and manage electricity contracts to protect exposure and reduce operating expenses
  • Assist Accounting to ensure all sales are documented and in conformity with contractual terms for accounting and auditing purposes
  • Maintain contract files in digital format
  • Build and maintain relationships with third party purchasing, gathering, and processing companies
  • Establish new business relationships and maintain ongoing industry relationships with broad understanding of peers, service providers, and competitors; recommend opportunities to leverage relationships for vale propositions
  • Identify and evaluate strategic options to improve netback pricing
  • Support management in performing ad-hoc analysis on business-critical issues
