Our vision and goals are crystal clear: to become the Formula 1 of combat sports in Europe. And we’re on the right track. Over the last 8 years, we’ve grown to around 100 colleagues, selling out arenas across Europe. In Germany, we’ve built a team of 14 people, with 10 of them driving our marketing efforts, and we recently hosted OKTAGON 62 in Frankfurt with 59,000 visitors. Broadcasting to over 100 countries and engaging with over a million fans on social media, our expansion is in full swing. We’re global, and now we’re looking for “A-list” talent who want to be part of something big.

And what exactly will you be doing?

  • Campaign Planning and Execution: Lead and manage all marketing activities across Germany, including both online and offline campaigns. Oversee the development and execution of multiple campaigns concurrently, ensuring they are aligned with company objectives and tailored to the unique needs of the German market.
  • Budget Oversight: Take full responsibility for the management of annual marketing budgets, up to €500,000. This includes budget allocation per event or tournament, ensuring that resources are utilized efficiently to maximize return on investment (ROI) and achieve campaign goals.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and manage a team of approximately 8 marketing professionals. Set clear objectives, provide strategic direction, and support the team in delivering high-performance results across all marketing initiatives.
  • Creative Strategy Implementation: Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies utilizing cutting-edge tools and techniques to drive engagement and reach. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies to enhance the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, other regional offices, and the central headquarters in the Czech Republic. Ensure that marketing strategies are well-coordinated with the overall business strategy and adapted to the specific dynamics of the German market.
  • Communication Management: Serve as the primary communication link between the marketing team, internal stakeholders, and external partners. Fluency in both English and German is required to ensure clear and effective communication across all levels.
  • Adaptability in Strategy: Maintain a flexible approach to marketing strategy, allowing for quick adjustments in response to changing market conditions or unforeseen business challenges. Be proactive in seizing new opportunities and overcoming potential obstacles.

Who are we looking for?

  • Someone who has a background in startups (businesses with $10M+ in revenue), media companies, or marketing agencies.
  • Possesses a strong passion for sports.
  • Demonstrates startup experience, with the ability to work under pressure and drive results with limited resources.
  • Brings media company experience, with an understanding of corporate dynamics and youthful energy.
  • Has marketing agency experience, excelling in high-pressure situations, maximizing outcomes with limited resources, and utilizing structured processes.
  • Has at least 5 years of marketing experience, with creative expertise and strong project management skills.
  • We are looking for candidates who hold a valid German residence permit, as this is required for employment. Additionally, fluency in both German and English is essential.

How will the selection procedure be conducted?

  • The selection process is neither the shortest nor the easiest. You will gradually meet 4 people + you will be given a task.
  • On the other hand, each round may not last an hour, but they are long, ranging from 30 - 60 minutes.
  • After signing up, Vanesa will get back to you within four working days and you will either receive a rejection email with a reason why, or you will have a chat together on the phone for a while.
  • You will have a first round with HR.
  • If it is ok, we will give each candidate an assignment.
  • Then we interview with Hynek.
  • And also with Philipp Masurat - Country Manager for Germany.
  • If you get through all this, you will get an offer : )
  • We don’t want to drag it all out unnecessarily, on the other hand sometimes it’s hard to schedule the right date due to organizing tournaments. However, we believe that we will be able to bring it to a successful end quickly.
