We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Mass spectrometry R&D scientist to join our team in Turku.

TASKS

• Independently plans characterization studies, verification tests, test methods, product calibration methods, clinical tests, and stability studies.
• Executes, documents, and reports on the sub-projects according to plans and procedures.
• Makes changes to products using the change proposal system.
• Leads maintenance and update projects, and if necessary, new product development projects.
• Develops product development/research methods.
• Supervises laboratory staff and participates in laboratory work.
• Acts as a platform manager when needed.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s Degree and/or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or similar
• Theoretical and practical knowledge needed in setting up MSMS assays. Expertise in designing reagents for assays on mass spectrometry, and instrumentation knowledge to allow efficient troubleshooting.
• Strong background and practical working knowledge from GLP/GMP level Pharma, Biotech or Life Science industry is appreciated
• Fluent reporting and communication skills in English. Sufficient Finnish skills to allow interaction within the team.
• Proactive, resourceful, independent and a good team player in the cross-functional and international development team.
