Responsibilities:
The Senior Material Coordinator is responsible for ensuring materials are available to execute the work safely, on-budget and on-schedule.
You’ll play a pivotal role by ensuring inventory is available in the right place at the right time, in fit-for-use condition, to minimise maintenance and construction schedule impact due to material unavailability, in a safe and cost-effective manner, along with driving inventory optimisation using optimisation tools and effective repair and reuse of materials.
The Senior Material Coordinator’s primary role is to:
- Collaborate across Asset Services and the Assets to understand material requirements and develop material forecasts, schedule requirements within the ERP system to ensure inventory level aligns with scheduled gas field development plan and/or maintenance activities and Project budgets
- Distribute material forecasts to vendors and internal stakeholders
- Manage material allocations in alignment with construction and maintenance schedules
- Liaise with Engineers and Wellsite Representatives regards to ensure timely advice of upcoming well equipment and consumable requirements including forward planning to cover material deliveries over weekends
- Schedule and expedite deliveries to meet required project timeframes
- Procure spares for critical break-in work and emergent scope
- Facilitate the refurbishment and reuse of repairable materials
- Resolve delivery non-conformances and supplier invoice issues
- Optimise stocking levels of consumable and low-value repetitive-purchase items
- Manage the total lifecycle of materials from Cataloguing through to Slow-Moving and Obsolescence reviews, and disposals
- Initiate Long-Lead procurement at the AFE/AFF approval gates in the Deliver Wells and Deliver Projects core processes based on Deliver Wells Online Workbook (DWOW) design specification and/or Engineering Bills of Materials
- Liaise with Origin Contract Sourcing Specialist to contribute to tender strategies and align contracts with business requirements pre contract tender
- Liaise with Origin Contract Administrators to resolve any queries or issues identified related to contracts financial position and management of contract terms and conditions post award
