Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Senior Engineer with excellent design, technical, and sustainability skills who enjoys working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams, taking responsibility for projects from inception to completion to achieve outstanding results. You will be able to demonstrate a solid background in the field of Mechanical Engineering Systems for building services, and a track record of multi-disciplinary design by bringing the best of Arup together.
You will join our creative and friendly Building Engineering team, choosing from one of our offices in the West (Cardiff or Bristol). A team that seeks to set new standards in the built environment. Challenging orthodoxy will be instinctive to you. You will possess motivation on the Digital front and seek to guide its evolution in the built environment.
In this role you will provide leadership to the MEP team on a portfolio of projects locally, nationally and internationally, having the responsibility of ensuring correct technical approaches are applied to the project are carried out appropriately to undertake the tasks at hand. You will be expected to have project management skills and will have remit for the financial performance of the projects including liaising directly with clients on fees and commercial matters, effectively overseeing total project delivery by enabling effective team management and delegation to ensure the efficient and satisfactory delivery of multiple and complex projects, reporting to the Project Director.

Responsibilities:
We are looking for people who:
- Are BSc qualified in Mechanical, HVAC or Building Services Engineering or similar.
- Have extensive experience in winning and delivering a range of projects.
- Have the ability to provide technical leadership of multi-disciplinary design teams including external sub-consultants.
- Have strong awareness of appropriate sector-specific legislation, regulatory requirements and design guidance and future trends.
