- You will be an important part of our project development team, responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems in hydrogen production and infrastructure projects.
- This role requires a hands-on engineer with strong project management skills who can collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the energy sector (hydrogen, oil & gas, renewable energy, or similar).
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering analysis tools (FEA, CFD).
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer, with a focus on gas processing systems.
- Experience in the design and implementation of mechanical systems for industrial plants.
- Familiarity with hydrogen production methods (e.g., electrolysis, steam methane reforming), and storage solutions (e.g., high-pressure storage, cryogenic systems).
- Strong understanding of industry codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO) relevant to mechanical and hydrogen systems.
- Experience working on hydrogen infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems for hydrogen production, storage, and distribution facilities.
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and detailed designs using CAD, FEA etc.
- Support the planning and execution of hydrogen project development from feasibility studies through to construction and commissioning.
- Work closely with project managers and multi-disciplinary engineering team to integrate mechanical systems into overall project designs.
- Develop specifications for equipment.
- Ensure that mechanical designs meet safety, regulatory, and industry standards, including ASME, API etc.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for the procurement of materials and fabrication of mechanical components.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety reviews, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems during design and implementation phases.
