WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong focus on automation and innovation. You are curious, analytical and have an open, critical attitude. You are driven to share your knowledge and realise solutions together with colleagues and customers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanical engineer, ideally in high-tech or system automation.
  • A completed HBO or TU degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience with 3D CAD software, particularly SolidWorks or NX.
  • Strong technical expertise, including drafting specifications, designing dynamic systems, applying DfX methodology, and conducting tolerance analyses.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you play a critical part in translating customer requirements and expectations into precise technical specifications. You will estimate material and time requirements and develop automation concepts and designs (such as high-precision positioning robots, gantries, alignment and joining systems, and modules for unwinding rolls) both independently and in collaboration with your team. Your responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and translating customer requirements into technical specifications.
  • Developing and realizing concepts and constructions, with a strong focus on Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Service (DfX).
  • Conducting tolerance analyses to ensure quality and functional requirements are met.
  • Creating a work breakdown structure and assigning tasks to team members.
  • Reporting on technical progress and managing product and project documentation.
  • Alternating between office work and on-site assignments at the client, depending on project needs.
