SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Technical leadership and the ability to provide mechanical expertise in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Mechanical design background within a Power/Energy environment or similar.
• Chartered Engineer and a member of IMechE is desirable (they can support chartership).
• Experience across the following types of projects: pipe stress analysis, equipment specification and engineering specification writing, pressure part design calculations, plant layout design.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical leadership for Energy projects, focusing on design through to delivery.
• Mechanical design across plants, pipes, equipment etc.
• Work across small individual assignments or as part of a larger, multi-disciplinary team.
• Provide expertise across design phases, optioneering through to detailed design.
• Pipe stress analysis, equipment specification and engineering specification writing.
• Attend sites for surveys and operations.
• Perform fit for service assessments.
• Provide temperature and pressure assessments and calculations.
• High temperature component life assessment.
• Check and provide assurance of deliverables.
