We are looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work within our Customer and Sustaining Engineering team. This role will act as a key link across various disciplines, ensuring a strong team focus on system design, compliance, design for manufacture and system integration.
The opportunity
In this role you can expect to work on new projects, where you will be responsible for assessing the mechanical functionality of the designed systems and ensuring that it meets with the customer’s requirements. You will work closely with and provide support to other teams such as Cryogenics, Magnets, Manufacturing and Design, which will allow your knowledge in these areas to grow. This is a varied role, including CAD design, understanding the application of the system, simulation work, as well as operational test facility involvement.
About You
We are looking for an individual with the ability to work effectively across disciplines and provide the link in bringing the teams together. You will have substantial experience in mechanical engineering ideally in a similar technical environment, supported by a degree in a relevant discipline. It would also be desirable if you had experience of CAD, as well as lean design training and python.
